Position Description:

This position will serve as the athletic trainer for assigned teams and will work in collaboration with the Sports Medicine team to provide comprehensive care for student-athletes.

Major Responsibilities:

• Responsibilities include evaluating illnesses and injuries to determine the appropriate course of action.
• Assist in coordinating the coverage of appropriate medical personnel and travel arrangements with assigned teams for away competitions.
• Serve as a liaison for the medical care and well-being between student-athletes, coaches, physicians, healthcare providers, and sports medicine staff.
• Update and maintain accurate medical records for individual student-athletes, including medical history, physical exam forms, daily injury reports, and progress notes.
• Responsible for the operation and implementation of preseason physicals.
• Up to 25% travel required.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Minimum of one year of experience as an athletic trainer.
• Master’s Degree
• BOC certified, Indiana License, or ability to obtain.
