Assistant Coach, Men's Football
Overview
The Assistant Football Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Football Coach with the administration and organization of a successful athletic program that competes in the Centennial Conference at the NCAA Division III level.
Responsibilities
Specific Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Football Coach and Defensive Coordinator with all aspects of a successful NCAA Division III football program
- Coach and lead an assigned defensive position group, including practice planning, game preparation, and play calling
- Manage an assigned off-campus recruiting territory in compliance with NCAA, Centennial Conference, and Ursinus College policies
- Monitor and support the academic progress, personal development, and overall well-being of student-athletes
- Serve as video coordinator for practices and publishing games to the Centennial Conference video pool
- Assist with coordination of off-campus team travel and related logistics
- Support off-season football activities, including strength and conditioning coordination, camps, and clinics
- Collaborate regularly with athletic training staff to promote the health, safety, and wellness of student-athletes
- Coordinate game-day setup and breakdown of coach communication systems, video, instant replay, and sideline technology and equipment on game days
- Supervise the sideline chain crew
- Oversee post-game uniform collection and laundry operations
- Assist with general athletic operations support throughout the academic year as assigned, including home athletic event coverage and equipment room support - coordinated around football responsibilities
- Demonstrate ethical decision-making, professionalism, and sportsmanship consistent with the mission, values, and philosophy of Ursinus College, and adhere to all departmental, institutional, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Knowledge of rules and techniques of football, specifically in defense
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and planning ability
- Knowledge of NCAA Division III and Centennial Conference rules and regulations a plus
