Job Summary/Basic Function
The Assistant Director, Medical Student Career Services in the Office of Student Success provides individualized early and progressive career exploration to help students secure a successful residency placement. This position provides comprehensive, developmentally appropriate advising and programmatic support for medical students throughout the four years of the curriculum (from matriculation through graduation). This position plays a central role in helping students explore career options, understand specialty expectations, and understand factors that prepare them for competitive residency applications. This position will work in a team-based environment with the Director of Medical Student Career Services, focusing on assisting students with early assembly and updates of key residency application materials. This position utilizes a data-driven, student-centered approach and collaborates with various stakeholders.Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in Higher Education, Counseling, Human Services, Psychology, Human Resources, or closely related field and 3 years professional experience in career development, higher education, human resources or closely related field. OR a Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Human Resources, or closely related field and a minimum of 5 years experience in career development, higher education, human resources, or closely related field.
