Assistant Director of Financial Aid Outreach - PT

Job Summary:

Reporting to the District Director of Student Financial Aid Services, the Assistant Director of Financial Aid Outreach is responsible for leading financial aid outreach initiatives to promote application completion within the student life cycle. This role is also responsible for focusing on aligning financial aid processes with student admissions, coordinating outreach efforts, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Performance Requirements

Develops, coordinates, and implements financial aid outreach goals established by the Student Usage of Financial Aid work team, emphasizing integration into the student life cycle

Creates a documented process aligning financial aid application completion with the student admissions process and develops a marketing portfolio to de-stigmatize financial aid

Establishes metrics and benchmarks for completed financial aid applications by enrolled students

Designs professional development opportunities for college personnel to assist students with financial aid applications and eligibility inquiries

Coordinates a unified approach to financial aid support across the college to achieve enrollment, retention, and student success objectives

Conducts financial aid presentations for students, staff, and community partners

Stays updated on financial aid regulations and incorporates innovative trends into college financial aid outreach efforts

Assists in short and long-term financial aid planning processes

Service Excellence

Participates on behalf of the College in external community organizations and associations as assigned to support the Essential Performance Requirements

Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite

Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)

Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College

Supervision

Works under the general supervision of the District Director of Student Financial Aid Services

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's

Five (5) years' working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements

Four (4) years' administrative working experience in a Financial Aid office

Preferred Qualifications:

None

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulations

Skilled in exceptional management and organization skills

Skilled in excellent oral and written communication

Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

Skilled using computerized applications and enterprise systems, including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software

Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, and meet deadlines

Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described here are representatives of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
