to select
- one employee for the associate position of Assistant in the scientific area of Social Sciences, scientific field of Speech and Language Pathology, fixed-term, full-time
All applicants must meet the general requirements prescribed by the Labour Act (Official Gazette 93/14, 127/17, 98/19, 151/22 and 64/23).
In addition to the criteria prescribed by Article 39, Paragraphs 4 and 6 of the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity (Official Gazette 119/22), applicants are required to meet the criteria prescribed by Article 123, Paragraphs 3 and 4 of the Statute of Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, Article 49, Paragraphs 3 and 4 of the Statute of the Faculty of Education within the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek (consolidated text), Article 26 of the Ordinance on the Implementation of the Procedure for Election/Re-election to Scientific-Teaching, Artistic-Teaching, Teaching, Associate and Professional Positions at Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek (consolidated text), and the Decision of the Faculty Council on the Determination of Criteria for Acquiring the Status of an Exceptionally Successful Student at the Faculty of Education within the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek of 31 March 2025 (CLASS: 003-06/25-01/05, REG. NO.: 2158-63-01-25-06).
Applicants for the Tender are required to submit documentation according to Form No. 4 – Application for Election to the Associate Position of Assistant (Obrazac br. 4 – Prijava na natječaj za izbor na suradničko radno mjesto asistenta).
The Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity (Official Gazette 119/22), the Statute of Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, the Statute of the Faculty of Education within the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek (consolidated text), the Ordinance on the Conditions for the Election to Scientific Titles (Official Gazette 28/17, 72/19, 21/21 and 111/22), the Decision of the Rectors’ Conference on the Necessary Requirements for the Evaluation of Teaching and Scientific-Professional Activities within the Procedure for Appointment to Scientific-Teaching Titles (Official Gazette 122/17 and 120/21), the Decision of the Rectors’ Conference on the Necessary Requirements for the Evaluation of Teaching and Professional Activities within the Procedure for Appointment to Teaching Titles (Official Gazette 13/12), the Decision on Amendments to the Decision of the Rectors’ Conference on the Necessary Requirements for the Evaluation of Teaching and Professional Activities within the Procedure for Appointment to Teaching Titles (Official Gazette 120/21), the Decision of the Rectors’ Conference on the Form and Manner of Implementation of the Inaugural Lecture for Election to Scientific-Teaching, Artistic-Teaching and Teaching Titles (Official Gazette 129/05), the Ordinance on the Implementation of the Procedure for Election/Re-election to Scientific-Teaching, Artistic-Teaching, Teaching, Associate and Professional Positions at Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek (consolidated text), and the Decision of the Faculty Council on the Determination of Criteria for Acquiring the Status of an Exceptionally Successful Student at the Faculty of Education within the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, as well as Forms Nos. 4, are published on the website of the Faculty of Education: www.foozos.hr/opci-podaci/propis.
Along with the Application Form for the Tender, applicants should submit evidence of meeting the conditions in electronic form (PDF).
For applicants who are foreign citizens, proof of knowledge of the Croatian language (and Latin alphabet) following the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (advanced level C2) must be enclosed.
Applications for the Tender, along with the required enclosures, must be submitted electronically to the address tajnistvo@foozos.hr within thirty (30) days from the date of the announcement of the tender in the “Official Gazzete”, with the subject: “Application for the position of Assistant („Prijava na natječaj za asistenta“)
For applicants with foreign higher education qualifications, evidence of the recognition process of the foreign higher education qualification must be submitted.
This tender is open to both male and female applicants under the same conditions.
Untimely and incomplete applications will not be considered.
Only applicants who submit a timely and complete application and meet the formal requirements of the public competition will be considered candidates for the position.
A complete application is defined as one that includes all the information and attachments specified in this competition announcement and is personally signed by the applicant who submitted it for the public tender.
Applicants who are entitled to exercise the right to priority in employment under a particular law – the Act on Croatian Homeland War Veterans and Members of Their Families ("Official Gazette" No. 121/17, 98/19, 84/21, and 156/23), Article 48 of the Act on Civilian Homeland War Victims ("Official Gazette" No. 84/21), and Article 48.f. of the Act on the Protection of Military and Civilian War Invalids ("Official Gazette" No. 33/92, 57/92, 77/92, 27/93, 58/93, 2/94, 76/94, 108/95, 108/96, 82/01, 103/03, 148/13, and 98/19), Article 9 of the Act on Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities ("Official Gazette" No. 157/13, 152/14, 39/18, and 32/20), are obliged to invoke this right in their application for the competition and submit all evidence required by special regulations to exercise this right. These candidates are given preference in employment over other candidates, only under equal conditions. For candidates who, in their application for the competition, invoke the right to preferential treatment under the Act on Croatian Homeland War Veterans and Members of Their Families ("Official Gazette" No. 121/17, 98/19, 84/21, and 156/23) and the Act on Civilian Homeland War Victims ("Official Gazette" No. 84/21 and 13/26.), the list of evidence required to exercise this right is available at the link of the Ministry of Croatian War Veterans: https://branitelji.gov.hr/zaposljavanje-843/843.
Candidates invoking the right of priority in employment under Article 9 of the Act on Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities ("Official Gazette" No. 157/13, 152/14, 39/18, and 32/20) in their application for the Tender are obliged to invoke this right and submit all evidence of meeting the required conditions, as well as proof of disability.
The Faculty of Education will publish the decision of the Faculty Council regarding the selection of the employee on the website www.foozos.hr no later than eight (8) days from the date of their adoption. With the prior consent of the selected applicants, their professional curriculum vitae will also be published.
All Tender applicants will be informed about the Tender results no later than fifteen (15) days from its completion date.
The Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, the Faculty of Education, reserves the right to inform all applicants about the results by e-mail.
By applying for the Tender, the candidate consents that all their personal data contained in the tender documents be collected and processed to conduct tenders in accordance with the regulations governing personal data protection, in particular by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of an individual with regard to the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data and the repeal of Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation).
In addition to applying for the competition, candidates are required to enclose a completed and signed Consent Form for collecting and processing personal data for the competition, published with the tender on the Faculty of Education website. Without a completed and signed Consent Form, the application will be considered incomplete and will be rejected.
