"Assistant Lecturer (S&T) (Ref: 26000A7)"

Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:

• Undertaking teaching and academic duties (including classroom / laboratory / field-based teaching);
• Marking of assignments, tests and examinations;
• Providing academic support and performing teaching-related and administrative duties;
• Coordinating research and scholarly activities, seminars, projects, workshops and visits at all levels;
• Assisting in programme / course planning and development as well as participating in School / University activities; and
• Performing any other duties as assigned by the Dean of School Science & Technology or his / her nominee(s).

Candidates

Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:

• Higher degree in Environmental Science or a related discipline;
• Relevant teaching / academic support / professional experience in tertiary institutions is preferred;
• Strong sense of responsibility, effective organization and excellent interpersonal skills;
• Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently under pressure; and
• A good command of English and Chinese, with priority given to those who are fluent in Putonghua.

Candidates with lower qualifications may be considered for the post of Teaching Assistant.
