Dining CommonsJob Summary
The Assistant Manager will assist the General Manager with efficient and profitable operations. This position will provide leadership to assigned functions and events.Responsibilities
- Hire, train, supervise and schedule staff
- Monitor processes to ensure quality operations and customer satisfaction
- Monitor and maintain sanitation and safety standards
- Assist with inventory control procedures and operations
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements- High School diploma
- Three (3) or more years of related experience
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Educational Qualifications- Associate's Degree or equivalent vocational/technical training
- Two (2) or more years of related work experience
Proposed Salary
$20.71 per hour This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.Required Documents to Attach

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
ABILITIES- Consistently exhibit engaging customer service
- Ability to support various constituencies served by the University
- Proven proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office, Google, and/or applications as required for specific position
- Ability to operate commercial food equipment
- Adhere to University policies and procedures to meet Institutional goals and support University's mission for student success
- Working knowledge of food preparation and serving techniques
- Effective communication (verbal and written), organizational and human relations skills
