The Student and Academic Services Department (SASD) is a dedicated team committed to delivering comprehensive support across the entire student life cycle—from admission and matriculation to graduation and beyond the classroom. SASD works collaboratively with schools, colleges, and autonomous institutes to ensure seamless and enriching academic journeys for all students.
This position sits with the Office of Admissions, which is one of the functions within SASD. The Office of Admissions plays a key role in supporting admissions for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. This position also contributes to broader initiatives aimed at enhancing student experience, ensuring that every interaction—from inquiry to enrollment—is welcoming, efficient, and student-centered.
The Assistant Manager will play a key role in managing the day-to-day operations of the graduate admissions team. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a high-volume environment. He/she will act as a bridge between applicants, faculty, and administrative staff, ensuring smooth and efficient admissions processes.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the full admissions cycle from receipt of application to final enrolment, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with policies. Be the principal liaison between Office of Admissions and the assigned academic departments to achieve programme admission goals and ensure timely reviews and decisions.
- Work with schools and where appropriate, dispense advice to ensure that admissions decisions are not only operationally efficient but also aligned with Ministry of Education (MOE) enrollment targets, institutional priorities, and student success outcomes.
- Handle large volumes of applications and documentation, particularly during peak periods, while maintaining service quality and timeliness.
- Monitor admissions data, prepare reports, and provide insights to support planning and decision-making
- Oversee admissions systems, databases, and website updates, providing stakeholders with timely insights and ensuring a seamless applicant experience.
Requirements:
- Degree in any discipline. Diploma holders with 6-8 years of experience can be considered.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills, with proven ability to manage high-volume tasks during peak periods.
- Candidates with experience working in roles such as customer service, administration operations, grant/applications processing, administrative roles in the public sector are welcomed to apply.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
