Assistant Marketing Videographer, University Communications and Marketing

Primary Function: As Assistant Marketing Videographer at Lipscomb University, you will play a vital role in shaping the University's video presence across multiple platforms, including the website, social media, and digital marketing campaigns. You will collaborate closely with the Marketing Video Producer and other team members to produce high-quality, compelling content that amplifies the University's brand and helps meet recruitment, retention and engagement goals. Duties and Responsibilities: Collaborate with the University Marketing (UM) team to conceptualize, script, and produce creative video content that aligns with Lipscomb's messaging and brand guidelines. Capture high-quality video for a variety of digital channels, including social media, websites and promotional campaigns. Use state-of-the-art production equipment and software (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects) to create polished, engaging videos that tell compelling stories. Work with the UM team to strategically distribute content across platforms, ensuring maximum visibility and engagement. Provide production support, including on-set management, equipment setup and oversight of video editing timelines. Manage and organize video assets for easy retrieval and future use. Document events on and off campus with professional videography equipment. Process, organize and store video assets. Edit motion graphics projects using Adobe After Effects. Qualifications A Bachelor's degree is required; Film, Digital Media, Marketing, Communications or a related field preferred. 1-3 years of experience in professional video production, including shooting, editing and post-production. Proficiency in operating professional video equipment (cameras, lighting, audio). Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition) and familiarity with industry-standard video editing and post-production tools. A proactive mindset, with the ability to independently manage projects and seek out creative solutions. Strong collaborative skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with different teams and stakeholders. Familiarity with modern social media platforms and best practices for video content creation and distribution. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. A passion for storytelling, creative problem-solving and staying current with industry trends. Job Related Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition) and other media software. Knowledge of video production best practices, including lighting, audio and camera operations. Strong organizational skills for managing video projects from concept to completion. Ability to work well in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Comfortable staying up to date with new software and video production technologies. Knowledge of and proficiency with Macintosh OS X and related programs and systems. Knowledge of and proficiency with desktop publishing applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Apple Pages, Numbers, Keynote; and other software as needed. Ability to produce results by leveraging resources, building relationships, and by being adaptable, flexible to change and seamlessly pivot to other projects. Ability to multitask and take on additional responsibilities as needed. Ability to stay up to date and learn new software as needed to create content. Ability to keep the creative team aware of new software and technologies. Proven understanding of basic communication and marketing principles and ability to apply technical tools to create desired marketing outcomes. Comfortable in shifting quickly between strategic and tactical modes of work. Project management, relationship management, collaboration and communication skills.
