This position reports directly to the Head Women’s and Men’s Tennis Coach. The successful candidate will provide leadership, organization supervision, instruction, and strategic planning for the Wolves women’s and men’s tennis team. JOB FUNCTIONS: Assisting the head coach in developing and implementing training programs for the tennis team. Providing individual coaching and guidance to team members, focusing on skill development and game strategy. Assisting with recruiting efforts, including evaluating potential student athletes and coordinating visits. Assisting in organizing and coordinating program practices, matches, and team events. Collaborating with the head coach in monitoring the academic progress and overall well-being of student-athletes. Maintaining a positive and professional atmosphere within the team, fostering teamwork and sportsmanship. Adhering to all NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association), conference, and college regulations, policies, and procedures. Assist with administrative tasks as assigned by the head coach. EDUCATIONAL OR OTHER HIRING REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION Bachelor's degree in a related field (Sports Science, Physical Education, etc.) or equivalent experience. Previous experience playing tennis at the collegiate level or coaching at the high school or college level. Strong knowledge of tennis techniques, rules, and strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with student-athletes, coaches, and staff members. Demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire athletes to achieve their full potential. Upon employment, the candidate must successfully complete NCAA certification exam. A valid driver’s license and clear driving record (if travel is required).
