The Department of Radiation Oncology, at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, ranked top 5 in NIH Research funding, is recruiting for Radiation Oncologist at the Assistant / Associate Professor, non-tenure track level to provide services for our community and downtown based locations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in a career in community based academic radiation oncology with their primary practice location based in the community. The primary expectations in our community practices is to facilitate patient volume, actively participate in clinical trials, as well as develop collaborative relationships with local clinical providers. There may be an opportunity to spend time at our downtown facilities to enhance the availability of advanced radiation modalities for the patients at the community radiation oncology practice. All physicians are involved in our teaching program which could include providing planned lectures to our residents, participating in mock oral exams, participating in teaching conference, medical students and other healthcare related trainees, as well as participate in annual review courses sponsored by the department.

Candidates must be board certified/ eligible by the American Board of Radiology in Radiation Oncology and eligible for an unrestricted license in the State of Maryland. This position requires a medical degree from a recognized accredited domestic university (or foreign equivalent), a strong commitment to patient care and teaching, and the ability to work well in a team setting.
The anticipated salary for this position is $287,100 - $529,061 dependent upon experience.
