Assistant or Associate Professor of Clinical Practice, Metabolism, Endocrinology and Nutrition
The University of Washington (UW), Department of Medicine Division of Endocrinology and Nutrition is currently recruiting for a position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor of Clinical Practice. Specific rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Full-/part-time status is negotiable. Estimated start date is January 1, 2025.
Responsibilities include outpatient management of individuals with Endocrine neoplasia, evaluation and management of thyroid nodules including ultrasound guided fine needle aspiration, and management of Endocrine neoplasia such as thyroid carcinoma, adrenocortical carcinoma, pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors, pheochromocytoma, and endocrinologic complications of cancer therapy. Other duties include inpatient Attending oversight of an Endocrine Fellow managed inpatient general Endocrine consult service. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to earn expertise and accreditation in radiofrequency ablation.
University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research/scholarship, and service. The base salary range is $16,700 - $21,700 per month ($200,400 - $260,400 annually), commensurate with experience. Benefits include those from the UW Physicians practice plan.
Required qualifications: MD or DO (or foreign equivalent), medical licensure in Washington, and Board Eligibility or Certification in Endocrinology by the start date. Expertise in care and management of individuals with Endocrine neoplasia, including proficiency in ultrasound guided fine needle aspiration of thyroid nodules, is necessary.
