Posting End Date: Review of applications will begin on 7/23/2025, and continue until the position is filled.
Salary Range: Up to $64,800 - $69,800/Annualized, commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.
Hours: Fixed-term track, 9 month position, 4/3 or 3/4 (reduced 1 course for administrative duties), exempt.

- Teaching Portfolio (make sure to include course evaluations, student work samples, and a statement or example about how you (will) integrate research and new technologies in your teaching, 2-page limit).
- Statement of commitment to Student Success (specify the approach to teaching inside the classroom and program supporting activities/service outside the classroom, 2-page limit).
- List of three professional references: include email and telephone contact information.
Essential Functions: The School of Architecture and Planning at UTSA invites applications for a full-time, fixed-term faculty position beginning in the Fall 2025. This 9-month role includes a 70% teaching and 30% service workload, with potential summer stipends based on need. Teaching responsibilities include courses such as Transportation Planning, History & Theory of Urban and Regional Planning, Land Use Planning, GIS and Data Analysis, and Planning Workshop. Service duties involve supporting the MS in Urban and Regional Planning and Certificate programs, strategic planning, student advising, awards and fellowships, communications, class scheduling, internships, and student organizations.
Required Qualifications:
- Master of Science (M.S.) in Urban and Regional Planning or related field.
- This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UTSA and its infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications:
- American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP)
- PhD in Urban and Regional Planning or related field.

Working Conditions and Location: This position will be primarily located on the UTSA downtown campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
