Job Description:
The Russell Sage College Nutrition
Science Department seeks applicants for a Tenure Track or Professor of the Practice position at the level of Assistant or Associate
Professor in the Nutrition Science Programs. Housed within The School of Health Sciences, the department offers an ACEND accredited Bachelor
of Science program in Nutrition and Dietetics, three Master of Science degree tracks, and an ACEND-accredited Dietetic Internship
program.
The position is a full-time, 10-month faculty appointment.
Location: in person
Responsibilities
- Teach
undergraduate and graduate courses, in person and online in areas of teaching experience and expertise in nutrition - Serve in an
administrative role as the Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) Director (includes stipend for year-round director coverage) - Mentor
and advise undergraduate students. - Participate on department, college, and university committees.
- Collaborate on
interdisciplinary projects in the community and with professionals from other fields. - Maintain independent scholarship/professional
accomplishment (Boyer Model)
The estimated base academic year salary for this position is $55,000, commensurate with
experience.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will possess a master's degree and registered dietitian
nutritionist (RDN) credentialing through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) with at least three years post-credentialing
experience. Preference will be given to candidates with a doctoral degree in nutrition or closely related field and/or previous teaching
experience.
