Assistant Professor, Applied Mathematics
The School of Engineering & Applied Science (SEAS) at the University of Virginia (UVA) seeks applications for a full-time position of Assistant Professor, Applied Mathematics in Charlottesville, VA. The duties are as follows: Teach 6 undergraduate Applied Mathematics courses per academic year to students in the School of Engineering & Applied Science. Engage in service to the department, university, and professional community. Conduct research (either technical or pedagogical). The position requires the following: Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Applied Mathematics, Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Engineering, or a closely related field with a strong mathematical component start date. Ability to teach across the APMA curriculum. Demonstrated commitment to innovative and evidence-based teaching practices and working in a collaborative instructional environment.
