What will your work involve?

  • Teaching in English at bachelor's and master's level in the fields of ecological economics, environmental and resource economics, critical and eco-social economics and related disciplines;
  • supervising bachelor's and master's theses, and possibly also doctoral dissertations;
  • participating in the department's teaching, research, and organisational activities;
  • publishing the results of scientific and research activities.

Professional and personal requirements:

  • Acceptance of the social role to which Masaryk University subscribes;
  • PhD in economics, environmental studies or a related field;
  • area of focus in teaching and research – critical environmentally oriented approaches in economics (ecological economics, environmental and resource economics, critical and eco-social economics and related fields);
  • publications in platforms preferred according to the M25+ methodology;
  • experience in working in an interdisciplinary team;
  • experience in supervising bachelor's, master's and, ideally, doctoral theses;
  • proven international experience;
  • proven experience in grant projects;
  • realistic prospects of achieving the position of associate professor in the foreseeable future;
  • ability to communicate and lecture in English; knowledge of Czech or Slovak is an advantage.
