Assistant Professor at the Department of Sociology

Job Summary

• Teaching at undergraduate and graduate level at Masaryk University in Brno
• Teaching of the mandatory courses in English with strong focus on the social anthropology
• Supervising Bachelor and Master's theses
• Responsibility for an administrative agenda related to the study program
• Research and publication activities
• Place of employment - Brno

Requirements:

• Ph.D. in Sociology or Social Anthropology (required);
• academic background in Social Anthropology (strongly preferred);
• specialization in Visual Anthropology, and/or Reflexive Anthropology, and/or sustainability;
• experience with teaching social anthropology courses in English;
• experience with empirical research and project applications;
• relevant publication record;
• good communication and teamwork skills.
