Job Summary

The Neuropsychology section at the Faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience is seeking an Assistant Professor with expertise in clinical neuropsychology to advance education and research. This role involves studying biological, physiological, affective, and psychosocial aspects of healthy development, aging, and neurological issues.

Responsibilities

Combine academic research with teaching at bachelor, master, and research master levels. Work with colleagues and external partners to translate scientific insights into applications. Supervise research and clinical internships, assess clinical activity reports and case reports for Dutch registration (BAPD), and support students in preparing for professional practice.

Qualifications and Requirements

Hold a PhD in clinical neuropsychology or a related field with post-doctoral training and a strong research profile. Have experience with psychodiagnostics and/or interventions in patient populations. Demonstrate ability to collaborate with clinical professionals, deliver skills training or courses, supervise students in clinical internships, and assess psychodiagnostics reports. Possess a University Teaching Qualification (UTQ) or willingness to obtain one. Be fluent in English, with Dutch proficiency as a plus. Experience with modern neuroimaging tools and methods is required.

What the Employer Offers

Employment at Maastricht University with a salary ranging from €4728 to €7297 gross per month based on experience (scale 11-12 for 38 hours per week). An initial contract of 12 months for internal candidates or 18 months for external candidates, potentially leading to permanent employment.
