Description
The Department of Internal Medicine/Section of Cardiovascular Medicine at Yale University is seeking qualified candidates to join our faculty, providing general consultative cardiology in the Greenwich Connecticut area. Responsibilities will include ambulatory clinic as well as inpatient care at Yale New Haven Hospital. In addition to providing patient care, faculty members may have the opportunity to participate in the Section’s teaching and research missions.
Yale New Haven Health System (YNHHS) is Connecticut’s leading healthcare system, which includes 5 hospitals with nearly 2700 beds. Greenwich Hospital, a 200-bed teaching hospital, serves the needs of residents in Lower Fairfield County Connecticut and Lower Westchester County New York. Yale University’s Cardiovascular Medicine Section has more than 170 full-time faculty, providing a full-spectrum of clinical care, teaching for 50 fellows in 8 different subspecialty programs, and ground-breaking research, including basic and translational research as well as clinical trials.
Qualifications
Successful candidates must be fellowship trained in cardiovascular medicine and either Board Certified or Board Eligible. Candidates must meet criteria for appointment as an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Academic Clinician (AC) or Clinician Educator Scholar Track (CES). Candidates with additional training, experience and interest in subspecialties including adult congenital heart disease are encouraged to apply.
