- Assistant Professor — research and teaching position.

2. Requirements
- Doctoral degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
- Documented scientific achievements including publications in reputable journals.
- Teaching experience at the academic level.
- Proficiency in using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in using MS Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience in conducting numerical research experiments.
- Practical knowledge of process engineering, Power BI and Lean manufacturing.
- Knowledge of fault prediction and machine maintenance in industrial settings (TPM) is desirable.
- Fluency in Polish.
- English proficiency at minimum B2 level.
- Readiness for research in areas developed by the Department.
- Participation in organizational duties within the Department and Faculty.

The Department of Material Technologies and Production Systems conducts scientific and teaching activities in the field of mechanical engineering, with particular emphasis on modern materials technologies, manufacturing processes, and production systems. The Department focuses on research related to the properties of engineering materials, their modification, and their application in advanced engineering solutions. An important part of its work is the development and improvement of manufacturing technologies, which include both classical machining methods and modern techniques based on automation, robotics, and digital tools for process design and monitoring.
The Department carries out research projects in cooperation with industry and scientific institutions in Poland and abroad, enabling the practical implementation of research results and the development of innovative technological solutions. It actively participates in initiatives related to Industry 4.0, production digitalization, process optimization, and the integration of manufacturing systems. In its scientific activities, particular emphasis is placed on the development of materials with enhanced functional properties, the analysis of their behaviour under operational conditions, and the design of technological processes that ensure high production quality and efficiency.
In the area of teaching, the Department offers courses in fields related to mechanical engineering, materials technology, and production engineering. Education covers both the fundamentals of manufacturing technologies and advanced topics related to process design, material selection, property analysis, and the integration of production systems.
