We are searching to recruit an Assistant Professor (Education) in International Political Economy, to join a world-renowned group of experts in the Department of International Relations, one of the oldest as well as largest IR departments in the world, with a truly international reputation.

This post is on the Education Career Track, a career track LSE introduced for academic staff whose primary responsibility is education. The post-holder is expected to possess expertise in the field of International Political Economy to a demonstrably high level and have a PhD in a relevant field.

The post-holder is expected to have evidence of a strong track record in teaching and evidence of a track record in student mentoring and pastoral care. They ought to have the ability to teach core courses in International Political Economy at both the Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels.

It is also essential that candidates demonstrate their commitment to high-quality teaching, to fostering a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment for students, and to working as part of a team toward ensuring the smooth running of the Department and its teaching programmes.

The post-holder will also be expected to contribute substantially to the development of our teaching programmes, taking on course/programme level leadership role/s, and working collaboratively with other colleagues to enhance the delivery of our educational offering. The post-holder is anticipated to contribute to developing an effective learning community in the Department.
