We are recruiting across the following four strategic areas:

• Clean Energy Industries:Hydrogen and biogas fuels, energy networks, environmental economics, green finance, ethical supply chains, and behavioural change.
• Digital and Technologies:AI and machine learning, cybersecurity, spatial intelligence, robotics, human-computer interaction, and digital transformation.
• Life Sciences:Drug discovery, diagnostics, pain research, preventative healthcare, wearable biosensors, and public health surveillance.
• Professional and Business Services:Retail innovation, fintech, smart logistics, digital policy, and inclusive growth.

This is a research-intensive role, with the expectation of significant contributions to research excellence and innovation as well as also contributing to teaching within your associated Department.

What we’re looking for:

• A sustained record of high-quality research and funding within at least one of the priority areas of digital and technologies, life sciences, or professional and business services.
• Evidence of leadership in innovation and collaboration, and the capability to translate research to deliver real-world impact.
• Strategic thinking and mentoring capability.
• Engagement with industry, policy, or global networks.

Recruitment will be conducted in rounds, with Round 1 closing for review in December 2025, shortlisting in January 2026, and remote interviews scheduled for January / February 2026.
