Job Description

Key Duties:

• Active participation in the preparation and implementation of the education of students of bachelor, master and doctoral degree programmes of ÚGV, supervision of student theses
• Teaching courses in the field of environmental geology and environmental geochemistry
• Scientific and research activities in the field of environmental geology and environmental geochemistry
• To search for and submit scientific and research projects, involvement in existing projects

Skills and Qualifications

The applicant must have:

• Ph.D. (or equivalent) in geology or related fields
• Significant research and publication activity in environmental geology and geochemistry
• Knowledge of working with the Geochemist’s Workbench software
• Experience on professional position in environmental geology, environmental geochemistry and contaminant hydrogeology
• Active approach to submitting national and international projects
• Active international collaboration
• Very good knowledge of the English language (written and verbal)
• Ability to work as a team member, organisational skills, empathic and helpful approach when working and dealing with people

The applicant should have:

• Good knowledge of the Czech language is an advantage
• Teaching experience in environmental geology and geochemistry is an advantage
