undergraduate and graduate curriculum. The teaching load is two courses per semester. Teaching responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate courses in the applicant's areas of expertise, contributing on a rotating basis to the teaching of both halves of our two-course Asian history survey (before and after 1500), and an additional service course. History faculty have opportunities to participate in the University's interdisciplinary initiatives in Asian and International Studies, Environmental Humanities, the Medical Humanities, Games, and Digital Humanities, among other programs.
