Position title: Electrophysiology Cardiologist

Salary range: The posted UC Salary scales set the minimum pay at the appointment as determined by appointment type and if applicable, rank and/or step. The base pay range for this position is $300,000 - $400,000. Salary is negotiated annually. Additional compensation may be available if the position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan. Position description

The Department of Medicine (http://med.ucsd.edu), Division of Cardiovascular Medicine (https://cardiology.ucsd.edu/index.html), and the Cardiovascular Institute at UC San Diego are committed to academic excellence within the faculty, staff, and student body, and are seeking candidates for an academic electrophysiology position in cardiovascular medicine.

The selected candidate will be responsible for providing clinical care to patients and for training and teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. The selected candidate may also have opportunities to conduct clinical trials.

Appointment will be at the Assistant Professor level in the HS Clinical series.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications

(required at time of application)

Candidates must have an MD or equivalent degree and be board certified or board eligible in electrophysiology.

Candidates must also either possess or be eligible for a California medical license or an equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.
