Position title: Director of Cardiac Imaging
Salary range: The posted UC Salary scales set the minimum pay at the appointment as determined by appointment type and if applicable, rank and/or step. The base pay range for this position is $450,000-$500,000. Salary is negotiated annually. Additional compensation may be available if the position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan. Position description
The Department of Medicine (http://med.ucsd.edu), Division of Cardiovascular Medicine (https://cardiology.ucsd.edu/index.html), and the Cardiovascular Institute at UC San Diego are committed to academic excellence within the faculty, staff, and student body, and are actively recruiting for a Director of Cardiac Imaging.
The selected candidate will oversee both clinical and administrative operations. Responsibilities include providing patient care, interpreting of non-invasive studies (CT and MR), conducting research, and training and teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
The appropriate series and appointment at the Associate or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate's background and experience.

Qualifications
Basic qualifications

Candidates must have an MD or equivalent degree and be board-certified or board-eligible in Non-Invasive Cardiology or a related field.
Candidates must also either possess or be eligible for a California medical license or an equivalent certification/permit, as determined by the Medical Board of California.
