Skills/Qualifications
- a doctoral degree (PhD) in the discipline Earth and Environmental Sciences or Environmental Engineering, Mining and Energy, or a related discipline,
- documented knowledge of research methods used in geochemistry, mineralogy, and/or environmental sciences, in particular methods for characterizing the physicochemical, mineralogical, and chemical properties of solid materials and solutions, such as SEM-EDS electron microscopy, gas adsorption (N₂, Ar, CO₂), infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), Raman spectroscopy, and chromatographic methods or other methods relevant to the position’s profile, as evidenced by scientific publications and/or project experience,
- documented experience in conducting scientific research in the fields of geochemistry, experimental mineralogy, environmental engineering, or related fields, including the application of mineral materials in processes for the immobilization of biogenic compounds and micropollutants or related topics, encompassing experience in planning laboratory research, data analysis, and interpretation of results,
- a documented record of scholarly achievement, appropriate to the stage of the applicant's academic career, including publications in peer-reviewed international academic journals,
- experience in preparing grant proposals for scientific research and/or in carrying out national or international research projects,
- english language proficiency at B2 level or higher,
- experience in presenting research results at conferences, symposia, or other national and/or international scientific events,
- documented achievements in teaching and organizational work,
- proficiency in Polish at a level of at least C-1 (for candidates who are not Polish citizens).
Specific Requirements
Additional requirements:
- experience in cooperation with industry and in the implementation of applied research projects,
- membership of national and international scientific societies,
- experience in managing externally funded research projects awarded through competitive grant processes, particularly projects funded by the National Science Centre (NCN), the National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR), or international sources,
- experience in scientific collaboration with domestic and/or international research teams, as evidenced in particular by joint publications, projects, or other results of such collaboration.

The recruitment procedure is divided into two stages:
- formal assessment – assessment of the completeness of the application documents and compliance with the requirements specified in the Act, the AGH University Statute, and the competition announcement,
- substantive assessment – an objective and merit-based assessment of applications submitted by candidates who have successfully passed the previous stage; interviews with candidates may be conducted at this stage (either in person or remotely).
