The primary campus for this position is the Waterloo campus, with the possibility of teaching responsibilities at the nearby Milton campus through in person or virtual delivery.

Anticipated Salary Range: $90,000 to $130,000. Actual salary will be commensurate with experience.

Qualifications
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Psychology or a closely related field or have a confirmed defense date for such a degree before September 1, 2026. We welcome applicants from all areas of Cognitive Neuroscience. The department has established strengths in language and communication, visual attention and perception, and sensory processing across typical and atypical development. We are particularly interested in candidates whose research would create new synergies with this work or broaden the department’s expertise into complementary areas. Candidates with expertise in computational modelling or other computational approaches are especially encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to teaching at the undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels, and to supervising graduate students in the MSc and PhD programs. A strong publication record and clear potential for securing Tri-Council or other external funding are required. Experience teaching diverse student populations is an asset. The successful candidate is also expected to contribute to service within the University and broader academic community.

Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI). Applicants are encouraged to highlight EDI-related contributions in teaching, mentoring, service, lived experience, and/or scholarship.
