Assistant Professor in History & Religion
The Department of History & Religion at the University of Lethbridge invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor to commence on January 1, 2026 (July 2026 start negotiable), subject to budgetary approval. Hiring salary will be in the range of $79,132 to $98,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
We are seeking a scholar with the ability to teach Hinduism and the History of South Asia. The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. or be nearing completion in a relevant subject area, with an active record of scholarship, teaching experience, and interest in departmental service. The candidate will teach courses contributing to Religious Studies, History majors, and the Asian Studies program.
