Assistant Professor in Mathematical Analysis

Position Overview

The Department of Mathematics in the College of Arts and Sciences at The Ohio State University seeks applications to fill a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of assistant professor. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in mathematics or a closely related field, and demonstrated potential for excellence in research and teaching in analysis. It is expected that this faculty member will be significantly engaged in research, teaching and service in the graduate and undergraduate programs.

Performance Objectives

  • Develop and maintain high-impact research program in analysis.
  • Teach high-quality undergraduate and graduate courses.
  • Demonstrate excellence in student mentorship.
  • Advise and mentor Ph.D. students.
  • Support the departmental mission through service on committees.

Education and Experience Requirements

Required: A Ph.D. in mathematics or related field is required at the time of application.

Desired: The ideal candidate will have an exceptional research record in mathematical analysis, as well as evidence of strong teaching ability and mentoring.
