Assistant Professor in Public Policy
The Department of Government at Claremont McKenna College (CMC) invites applications for a tenure-track position, at the early assistant professor level, in public policy. The position will begin on July 1, 2027. The successful candidate is expected to hold a Ph.D. in political science by the time of the appointment.
The successful applicant will teach courses in public policy. The Department is particularly interested in candidates with substantive expertise in education policy, housing policy, science and technology policy, health policy, immigration policy, or infrastructure policy, among others. The ability to teach quantitative and/or qualitative research methods is a plus. The teaching load is two courses per semester. The candidate must have demonstrated the ability to maintain an active, high-quality research program and the highest standards of excellence in teaching.

Anticipated Annual Salary Range: $100,000 - $110,000
