Competition for the position of assistant professor in the group of research and teaching staff carried out at technical studies in the Department of Chemistry, Biology and Biotechnology at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Environmental Sciences of the Bialystok University of Technology.

Skills/Qualifications
The candidate should have a professional title of Doctor of biotechnology or habilitation degree in the discipline of biotechnology. The applicant should have knowledge of English at least at the B2 level or an active knowledge of a polish language (foreigners) and predispositions for didactic, scientific and organizational work. The candidate should be prepared to conduct classes in the fild of biotechnology, particularly in subjects such as: Biotechnology, Plant Biotechnology, and Toxicological tests in biological models.

Eligibility criteria
Candidates entering the competition should submit the following documents:
- an application addressed to the Rector of Bialystok University of Technology for employment as an assistant professor in the group of research and teaching staff;
- a personal questionnaire for a person applying for employment with information on the processing of personal data (template available for download on the website www.bip.pb.edu.pl in the tab: Work at Bialystok University of Technology - Database of forms and documents);
- a document confirming the award of a doctoral degree ora a habilitation degree in the discipline of biotechnology
- a self-report on the scientific, didactic and organizational achievements along with a list publications (in particular confirming preparing to conduct classes in the fild of biotechnology, particularly in subjects such as: Biotechnology, Plant Biotechnology, and Toxicological tests in biological models).
- a declaration of compliance with the requirements specified in Art. 113 and 116 of the Act of July 20, 2018. Law on higher education and science (template available for download on the website www.bip.pb.edu.pl in the tab: Work at Bialystok University of Technology - Database of forms and documents);
- a document confirming the knowledge of the English language at a level of at least B2; a document confirming the knowledge of the Polish language at level enabling the preparation and conduct of teaching classes (foreigners);
- other documents, materials or information that may be of importance in the competition (e.g. certificates).
Selection process
Documents should be delivered till October 19, 2026 at Bialystok University of Technology, Faculty of Civil Engineering and Environmental Sciences, Dean's Office, room 32, 15-351 Bialystok, Wiejska Street 45E.
Additional comments
Participating in the competition upon employment at the Bialystok University of Technology undertakes to:
- being in an employment relationship with the Bialystok University of Technology as the primary workplace;
- include affiliation of the Bialystok University of Technology in their scientific publications;
- submitting a statement on including in the number of employees conducting research activity in the discipline of biotechnology and statement on representing the discipline of biotechnology.
The university reserves the right to reject the competition without providing a reason. The competition result does not guarantee employment. The final decision regarding employment rests with the Rector of Białystok University of Technology.
