Cancer Research Institute, Kanazawa University invites applications for a full-time faculty position (Division of Immune Environment Dynamics, (Chief: Dr. Kazuo Okamoto), Cancer Microenvironment Research Program ). We are seeking candidates at an assistant professor level.

Work content and job description
Our major research interest is to elucidate the mechanisms of tumor progression and metastasis, by unveiling the multicellular network among cancer cells, immune cells and tissue stromal cells, such as fibroblasts and vascular endothelial cells, in tumor microenvironment, aiming at developing innovative strategies for cancer prevention and treatment. We also aim to understand the mechanism underlying the pathogenesis of bone metastasis by focusing on the immune-bone crosstalk. In order to achieve the goal, we are recruiting a scientist who has expertise in molecular biology, cell biology and immunology, and has the capacity of promoting cancer research by utilizing leading-edge technologies such as single cell multi-omics and advanced imaging techniques.

Break time: 12:00-12:45
Holidays: Saturday, Sunday, National Holiday, From December 29th to January 3rd of the following year
Overtime and other explanations: Discretionary labor system for specialized work applies (Assumed to have worked 7 hours and 45 minutes per day.)

Contract period: Nontenured
Contract period description: ※Term of office: In principle, a 5-year contract. For current employees of Kanazawa University, the total period of employment cannot exceed 10 years. ※ Reappointment reviews are permitted only once. However, if a current employee of Kanazawa University is appointed to this faculty position and has already been under a fixed-term employment contract with the university for more than 5 years, reappointment is not permitted.
