Background of the recruitment and description of the project
Ehime University invites applications for a full-time, fixed-term Assistant Professor whose main duties include teaching general education courses (including English and other foundational and liberal arts subjects) primarily for first-year students, as well as conducting research in the fields of teaching and learning.

Work content and job description
(1) Main Tasks (Education)
- To teach six 90-minute classes per week in the General Education program, including foundation and liberal arts courses such as English and First-Year Seminars.
- To teach eight 90-minute intensive classes in the General Education program, including English, foundation, and liberal arts courses, during the summer vacation period.
- To teach eight 90-minute intensive classes in the General Education program, including pre-enrollment English classes, foundation, and liberal arts courses, during the spring vacation period.
(2) Other Tasks
- Conduct research in the field of teaching and learning, including applying for various research grants.
- Perform duties for the General Education Unit of the Education and Student Support Organization.
- Attend various meetings related to assigned duties.

- Researcher Career Support Program: This program provides research support assistants either to the researcher concerned or to the laboratory to which the researcher belongs, on a case-by-case basis, when research activities are adversely affected by childbirth, childcare, medical treatment for illness or injury, caregiving responsibilities, or administrative and management duties.
- Spousal Employment Support Program: When a faculty member’s partner is a researcher and the couple is living separately, this program enables the partner to be employed by the university as a researcher for a certain period so that they may continue their research activities.
- Childcare Facilities: The university operates two childcare facilities: “Emika Kids” (Johoku Campus) and “AiAi Kids” (childcare facility attached to the University Hospital on the Shigenobu Campus). “Ai-Ai Kids” also provides sick-child care services.
- After-School Childcare Programs: After-school childcare programs are available during the spring, summer, and winter vacation periods. In addition, “Ai-Ai Kids” offers year-round after-school childcare services.
