Applicants should have (i) a PhD degree in biomedical sciences, medical sciences, or related fields; (ii) a strong research track record in reproductive medicine, maternal-fetal health, integrative omics research, and basic mechanistic studies; (iii) strong capacity in organizing and conducting clinical studies, including cohort-based studies and clinical intervention studies; (iv) experience in laboratory procedures, including experimental models, animal studies, biochemical and molecular measurements, and clinical translational research; (v) demonstrated capacity to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, MPhil/PhD supervision, and research mentorship; (vi) excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams and an established local and international academic network; and (vii) strong potential for translational research, patent application, commercialization, and industry collaboration in women’s health and reproductive medicine.
Duties include (a) leading independent research activities by writing research grant applications and publishing academic papers; (b) teaching and developing postgraduate and undergraduate course related to the applicant’s area(s) of expertise; (c) fostering academic research collaborations with internal and external partners; (d) supporting the translation of research findings into clinically implementable tools and services, while facilitating start-up development, commercialization, and industry collaborations in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area; and (e) contributing to the administrative, educational, and scholarly missions of the department.
Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to three years, renewable subject to mutual agreement and good performance.
