"Assistant Professor - Nursing"

The Oakland University School of Nursing is seeking applications for exceptional nurse researchers and educators for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to meet the needs of growing programs to begin August 15, 2026. Candidates must hold a current Michigan Registered Nurse license or be eligible for Michigan RN licensure.

Expertise in acute care, maternal-child/OB, pediatrics (prefer pediatric acute care NP certification), leadership, psych/mental health nursing (prefer PMH NP certification), simulation, forensic nursing, or adult-geriatric NP (primary care or acute care) is desired, but all qualified applicants will be considered.

The School of Nursing provides high-quality and accessible education to baccalaureate, master’s, and doctoral students. Assistant Professors are expected to engage in scholarly activities, teach undergraduate and graduate courses based on their qualifications, and demonstrate a commitment to OU, the SoN, and professional service.
