Job Summary

Morgan State University’s Department of Architecture offers a pre-professional Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Environmental Design ( AREN ) and a Master of Architecture (M.Arch), one of only two accredited professional architecture programs in Maryland—and the only one located in Baltimore. The department’s comprehensive curriculum spans design, history, theory, technology, and professional practice, preparing graduates for employment in leading architecture firms and licensure as registered architects. Alumni are well-equipped to assume leadership roles in both public agencies and the private sector. Through collaboration with related disciplines—including Landscape Architecture, City & Regional Planning, and Construction Management—the Department fosters an interdisciplinary approach, cultivating analytical skills, design thinking, and technical proficiency in its students.
