Indiana State University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in the Scott College of Business, Department of Marketing and Operations, at the rank of Assistant Professor of Business Analytics. The Assistant Professor of Business Analytics will carry out the following responsibilities: 1) Prepare and teach post-secondary introductory and upper level classroom courses in the theory and practice of Business Analytics and other related introductory and upper level classroom courses within the Indiana State University Scott College of Business, Department of Marketing and Operations. The Assistant Professor of Business Analytics may be assigned to teach any of the following courses: BUS 205 – Business Statistics (3 Credit Hours); BUS 305 – Introduction to Business Forecasting & Analytics (3 Credit Hours); OSCM 310 – Fundamentals of Business Analytics (3 Credit Hours); MKTG 438/538 – Marketing Research and Sales Analytics (3 Credit Hours); OSCM 435/535 – Business Analytics (3 Credit Hours); OSCM 420/520 – Data and Knowledge Management (3 Credit Hours); OSCM 425/525 – Business Forecasting (3 Credit Hours); OSCM 475/575 – Enterprise Resource Planning (3 Credit Hours); OSCM 320 – Optimization and Data Visualization (3 Credit Hours); MKTG 450/550 – Digital Marketing (3 Credit Hours); OSCM 640 – Analytics for Managerial Decision Making (3 Credit Hours); OSCM 690 – Advanced Topics in OSCM (3 Credit Hours); OSCM 439 – Internship in Operations and Supply Management (3 Credit Hours) and OSCM 486/586 – Topics in Operations and Supply Management (3 Credit Hours); 2) Evaluate and grade post-secondary students’ class work, assignments, examinations, and papers while maintaining student attendance records, grades, and other required records, as well as maintain regularly scheduled office hours to advise and assist students; 3) Lead and conduct graduate and undergraduate research and publication in regard to Business Analytics scholarly subject-matters, as well as other interdisciplinary research and publication within the Indiana State University Scott College of Business, Department of Marketing and Operations; and 4) Participate in Indiana State University governance by engaging in faculty committee work and meetings, as well as providing input on matters relating to curriculum development and the learning environment within the Indiana State University Scott College of Business, Department of Marketing and Operations.

The position of Assistant Professor of Business Analytics requires a Doctorate Degree (Ph.D.) or All But Dissertation (ABD) in Business Analytics, Management Science, Operations Research, or similarly related field (a Foreign Educational Equivalent is acceptable). Alternatively, Indiana State University will also accept a Doctorate of Business Administration Degree (a Foreign Educational Equivalent is acceptable).

The Supply Chain faculty serves approximately 1200 business students, including SCM majors and minors, business analytics minors, and MBA students taking business analytics and supply chain courses. All programs in the Scott College of Business are accredited by AACSB-International.
