Description:

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Oklahoma seeks applicants for two full-time tenure-track positions at the rank of Assistant Professor in Analytical Chemistry, with a preference in Mass Spectrometry in Life Sciences, with a starting date of August 15, 2026, and teaching one course per semester. The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry encourages applications from all interested and qualified parties. Our mission statement and other information can be found at chem.ou.edu.

The successful candidate will have experience in Analytical Chemistry, with a preference for mass spectrometry (MS), and an emphasis on applying this technique to solve urgent problems in the life sciences. These new hires will also promote interactions and collaborations among members of the OU Norman Campus, OU Health Campus, Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Oklahoma State University, and the University of Tulsa. Because modern mass spectrometry techniques can be applied to various research areas, these new faculty members will enhance studies across multiple life sciences disciplines.
