Description
Yale Child Study Center Clinical Services has an opening for full-time child psychologist dedicated to providing evaluation and treatment services to young children and their families. The successful candidate will be appointed as an Assistant Professor of Child Psychology on the Academic Clinician ladder track. A primary focus of this position is to provide developmental assessment and evidence-based treatment for children under ten and their families. Additional job responsibilities include: Conducting developmental and psychological assessments of children and adolescents, providing evidence-based treatment to children and their caregivers, with a special emphasis on services for children aged 10 and younger and their families, providing Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) to young children who have experienced traumatic events, collaborating with members of clinical teams to inform comprehensive care plans and participation in the psychology training faculty, including training and supervision of practicum students, psychology interns through the Yale Child Study Center’s APA-accredited internship, and/or post-doctoral fellows on the pediatric psychology track.
Qualifications
Successful candidates must possess an APA accredited doctoral degree in psychology, postdoctoral experience in clinical or health service psychology. Licensed or license-eligible child psychologists in the state of Connecticut with the following skills or experience are encouraged to apply:
- Treatment experience with young children (ages 0-10), including provision of Child Parent Psychotherapy
- Assessment experience providing developmental and psychological evaluations to children
- Bilingual clinicians able to provide treatment and assessment in Spanish
- Candidates from diverse backgrounds
