"Assistant Professor of Educational Policy Studies & Evaluation -- Regular Title Series"

The Department of Educational Policy Studies and Evaluation (EPE) in the College of Education at the University of Kentucky invites applications and nominations for an Assistant Professor, regular title series, tenure-eligible, effective August 15, 2026.

The individual will be responsible for carrying out research, teaching, and service within the Department in their specialty area related to quantitative research methods and methodologies, assessment and evaluation in educational settings, psychometrics and measurement, or similar areas. We welcome scholars with interests across the P-20 continuum.

Main responsibilities include the following: Teach courses in EPE; have an active research and professional service agenda; pursue extramural funding; assist with the recruitment and advising of graduate students and serve on program committees; participate in the activities of professional and scholarly organizations; and support the College's commitment to student success and belonging.

Required qualifications include an earned doctorate in quantitative research methods and methodologies, assessment and evaluation in educational settings, psychometrics and measurement, or similar areas; evidence of scholarly productivity; experience with working with students from a variety of backgrounds; and excellent oral and written communication abilities.

Preferred qualifications include a robust research agenda; successful university teaching experience including online teaching; advising and supervision of master’s and doctoral students; and evidence of securing, or demonstrated potential to secure, research funding.
