Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at Saginaw Valley State University invites a diverse pool of applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position to begin July 1, 2026. Duties include teaching a spectrum of undergraduate electrical engineering courses, mentoring of undergraduate students, and participation in departmental, college, and university service.
ECE Department
The ECE Department offers two degree options: an ABET-accredited BS in Electrical Engineering and a new BS in Computer Engineering. The faculty have a strong record of engaging undergraduate students through hands-on experiences, in the classroom, laboratory, and field. Department resources include facilities for undergraduate research and teaching, an engineering student computer laboratory, and a dedicated senior design project space.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Ph.D. (or ABD) in electrical engineering or a closely-related field is required, with expertise in Computer Systems and/or Electronic Communication and Networking highly desirable.
- Experience and ability to positively interact with all members of the campus community
- Ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodations.
