Applications are invited for a tenure-track position in the Department of Exercise Science and Human Performance. This full-time, nine-month position will begin on August 10, 2026.
Faculty responsibilities: This position requires teaching a variety of undergraduate and graduate Exercise Science-related courses, which may include exercise physiology, clinical exercise physiology, physiology of aging, exercise testing and prescription, principles of strength and conditioning, exercise science internship/practicums, and/or sports psychology, based on the academic background and experience of the candidate and departmental need.
Required: The successful candidate will have an earned doctorate at the time of appointment in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, or a related area.
Preferred: Teaching experience at the university level, strong communication and interpersonal skills, experience developing and teaching online courses, American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) certification or National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification, accreditation experience with CAAHEP and/or CASCE.
