Assistant Professor of Human Resource Management
APPOINTMENT: Full-time, tenure-track appointment beginning August 2026
RESPONSIBILITIES: The School of Accounting and Business Administration in the College of Business, Health, and Community Professions invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Human Resource Management. Teaching responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate instruction in both traditional in-person and online formats in the areas detailed below. A minimum teaching load of 3/3 is required. Candidates are expected to maintain an active research agenda consistent with AACSB Scholarly Academic (SA) qualification. Service to the School, College, University, profession, and community is expected, including engagement with external business and industry stakeholders.
RANK & SALARY: 9-month, tenure-track position $7,950 - $12,500 per month, commensurate with experience.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- An earned Ph.D. in Human Resource Management or D.B.A. in Management (or a closely related field) from an AACSB-accredited business school. ABD candidates may be considered if degree completion is expected prior to appointment.
- Demonstrated ability to teach Human Resource Management classes at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels.
- Demonstrated ability to teach in both in-person and online formats, with a commitment to high-quality, student-centered instruction.
- Demonstrated potential for maintaining Scholarly Academic (SA) qualification under AACSB standards, including an emerging or established program of peer-reviewed research.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated commitment to teaching, research, and service.
- Commitment to student-centered teaching and applied learning.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Established record of high-quality scholarship in human resource management or related areas consistent with AACSB SA qualification.
- Independent teaching experience, including experience with online and technology-enhanced course delivery.
- Ability to contribute to curriculum development, program enhancement, and applied or experiential learning initiatives.
- Professional experience and/or HR certifications in supporting areas (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR).
- Demonstrated ability to engage with business and industry partners, support experiential learning, or advise student organizations.
