Assistant Professor of Information Systems
Effective Date: August 17, 2026 (Fall Semester)
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. degree in a relevant area of business from a business school with AACSB international accreditation is required; the degree must be completed by August 1, 2026, or candidates must provide official notification of completion by that date. Candidates with a Ph.D. in an appropriate field of Engineering or Science are also encouraged to apply.
- Demonstrated potential for effective teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level in the areas such as artificial intelligence, business analytics, and cybersecurity.
- Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum at undergraduate and graduate levels
- Demonstrated potential for research, scholarship, and creative activities leading to publication and curriculum development
- Demonstrated potential for service contributions to the department, college, university, and broader community
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong research pipelines and publications in journals of high and recognized quality in the IS field
- Teaching experience in artificial intelligence, business analytics, and cybersecurity
- Willingness to develop relationships across the university and surrounding community
- Experience mentoring or supporting students with minoritized identities or using inclusive teaching strategies
- Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with a diverse student population
Duties
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses (in-person, hybrid, online, or combination)
- Engage in research, scholarly and creative activities leading to presentations and publications
- Participate in service to the school, college, university, and profession/community
