This position will teach courses in the online MA Program (Fall, Spring, and Summer) with
particular focus on clinical classes and other tasks assigned by the Program Director.
This position will teach 4 courses in the fall, 4 courses in the spring, and 3 courses in the
summer semesters. They will also contribute to the overall program function, enhancing
the curriculum, and participating in program activities. We seek individuals who
bring enthusiasm and a deep commitment to academic excellence within the scholar-
practitioner tradition. We are particularly interested in candidates who can provide
leadership, work with individuals from varied backgrounds, stakeholders, and colleagues,
and who have experience and credentials in clinical mental health counseling and/or
rehabilitation counseling.
This is a non-tenure earning faculty position. This position requires a person to work from
the USF Tampa campus. It is not a remote position.
Minimum Qualifications
- An earned doctorate (or ABD with degree conferred prior to appointment) in Counselor Education and Supervision from a CACREP accredited program or closely related field who can be considered core faculty according to CACREP standards.
- Current Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, or licensed/eligible for licensure as an LMHC in Florida within 1 year.
- Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of instructor.
Preferred Qualifications
- Holds both Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and LMHC credentials.
- Has two or more years of professional experience in supervision.
- Has two or more years of professional experience in graduate level teaching.
- Has two or more years of professional experience in delivering clinical services.
- Has at least one year of experience in teaching online courses, both in asynchronous and synchronous formats.
