Assistant Professor of Marketing
The University of South Dakota’s Beacom School of Business invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Marketing, beginning Fall 2026. The Beacom School of Business is the flagship business school in South Dakota and the region, with programs consistently receiving high national rankings from U.S. News & World Report, Princeton Review, and others.
The successful candidate is expected to:
- Teach marketing courses at undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Contribute to management teaching as needed (e.g., survey of business and organizational behavior).
- Engage in scholarly research that contributes to the marketing discipline.
- Provide service to the department, the profession, and the broader community.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach classes on the main campus in Vermillion, online, and occasionally in Sioux Falls, SD.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ph.D. or DBA in Marketing or a closely related field (ABD will be considered).
- Evidence of or potential for scholarly research in marketing.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Commitment to excellence in teaching, mentoring, and service.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degrees from an AACSB-International accredited business school are preferred.
- Scholarly interests that complement existing strengths in marketing.
- Experience or interest in teaching marketing and management-related courses.
- Professional business or industry experience.
