Position Overview
- Combines teaching and administrative leadership in the online AA and BA programs in Applied Psychology
- Teaching load: typically 3 courses per semester (2 online, 1 on-campus)
- Administrative duties: overseeing program operations, course assignments, student support, and assessment processes
- Opportunity for independent scholarship and program development
Responsibilities
Successful candidates will:
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses (online and on-campus)
- Advise students on academics and career planning
- Serve on College/University committees
- Conduct research in contemporary issues and seek external funding
- Supervise graduate student research
Minimum Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Psychology or a related field (or expected by August 2026)
- University teaching experience
Desired Qualifications
- Research and publication record
- Experience with learning management systems and virtual communication technology
- Current professional qualifications, if applicable
- Experience teaching statistics at the graduate level
About the Program
Online Applied Psychology Program:
- 8-week asynchronous courses, student-centered
- Faculty serve as facilitators and mentors, guiding students through discussions and assignments
- Involvement in course redevelopment and collaboration with instructional designers

- Part of College of Psychology & Liberal Arts (CoPLA)
- Offers online: AA & BA in Applied Psychology, MA in Organizational Leadership
- Offers in-person: BA & BS in Psychology, Forensic Psychology, Animal Behavior & Cognition, MS/PhD in I/O Psychology, PsyD in Clinical Psychology
