Requirements for this position include 1) a Ph.D. in Sociology or related field; 2) a strong research agenda that includes the use of qualitative research methods; 3) a commitment to teaching in a dynamic, access-oriented, urban research university, 4) evidence of teaching experience or preparation for college teaching; and 5) potential to secure external funding. 
 
The Department of Sociology offers the B.A. and M.A. in Sociology and our faculty participate in multiple interdisciplinary programs including Data Science, Organizational Science, and Public Policy doctoral programs.
