Assistant Professor of Statistics
Job Details
The Department of Mathematics is seeking applicants to fill one tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Statistics beginning August 1, 2026. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in mathematics or statistics with a strong mathematical background from an accredited institution by the start date. Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate the ability to teach, develop, and implement courses related to one’s curricular area and serve the overall teaching needs of the department.
- Maintain an active research agenda in Statistics and related fields.
- Be willing and able to lead graduate student research projects.
- Demonstrate the willingness and ability to work effectively with colleagues to support the mission of the Mathematics Department and the greater campus community
Minimum Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Mathematics or Statistics from an accredited institution.
- Strong mathematics background.
- Research interest in Statistics or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Evidence of high-quality research.
- Evidence of high-quality teaching.
